I'm tagging Bubby!

September 2008, He's waiting for me to go out and play with him
Thanksgiving 2007, we learned he loves olives.
May 2007 in Colorado
May 2007, coming down Pike's Peak
November 2007 at Silver Dollar City...he was so excited!
Late 2007 in the bath
He cracks me up!
February 2008, he would plead with me to go out to ride the sled but he would say "ride the boat" December? 2007 with Lorelei
This is the face where he pretends to be annoyed but really is just trying to make me laugh.

I'm tagging Garrison:

Favorite food: kraft mac 'n cheese, lately I've set a once a week rule 'cause he wants it for every meal

Friends: Tommy (bestest friend), Luke, Conrad, Joshua, Tyler

Things he loves to do:

ride his bike outside

swing

have friends over

go over to Tommy's house

sit between Marcus and me while we watch a tv show (that he likes)

sleep between us in bed (on the very rare occasions that I let him)

dance to the free baby leapfrog cd (I have other kid cd's that we listen to, but the free one that came with a toy we bought is his favorite)

pick apples off of the tree outside our door then wash and eat them

take a bath with bubbles and toys and water balloons

call his grandma on the phone

vacuum with me (he has a toy vacuum that works somewhat so he starts it when I start mine and stops his when I stop...it's VERY cute)

sing the "cleanup" song with me while we clean up his toys

stickerbooks

helping Lorelei

helping daddy do something around the house (i.e. fix the shower curtain rod)

reading books (his favorite at the moment is Little People on the farm, but he also loves Ruthie and the Teeny Tiny Lie, Baby's Birthday, The Small Family, The Monster at the End of this Book, Santa's Suit, No No Yes Yes)

Favorite TV show: well, at the moment it is "Go, Diego, Go", but he also loves "Hi-5", "Backyardigans", "Max and Ruby", and "Bob the Builder"

Favorite songs: "Yellow Bird", "Horsey Horsey", "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "You are my Sunshine", and if at bedtime my patience lasts through all these he'll start the list all over again. I also have to sing "Yellow Bird" every time I brush his teeth or he won't open his mouth!

I miss my family

Rebecca, Rach, Liz and me

me, Liz, and Sarah
me and my sisters againand again Me and Liz

I don't know why, but the only thing I remember about this day was that when we got home Jed's diaper had blown out. I'm thinking it must have been pretty impressionable. Mom, do you remember cleaning that one?

I thought I'd include this one 'cause I'm making a Garrison face here. I'm pretty sure I've seen him make this exact face! Poor Jed's not very happy in this one.

I remember loving my dress. The puffy sleeves, whatever that thing is called at the waist, and the lace. I also remember dad and mom took us all to Dairy Queen after taking pictures.

I remember wearing this dress to church and having people ask Sarah and I if we were twins. We would always have to explain that even though we were the same age, we were sisters, not twins.

Dad and Mom, I don't know how you coped! You are amazing people. I love you!

I miss my family...all together like this. It saddens me that we have grown apart due to our different geographic locations. I love you all. I would love to hear your memories if you have the time to comment.

July 2008, picture day

Lorelei Anne
Garrison Emmett
They are so beautiful!

Happy 1st Birthday Lorelei!

Here, I think she is seriously thinking, "Is this a trick?"

If you're wondering who stuck a finger in Lorelei's personal cake, let's just say it wasn't her.

Jen, this post is for you! (for harassing me back in May)
Lorelei's first birthday party was held at Pizza Street. We invited a few good friends to join us: the Fullmers, Livingstons, Harmons, and Wehrmeisters were able to make it. Lorelei loved her cake, but didn't hardly make a dent in it. Marcus wanted to take it home with us, but he quickly came to his senses! Anyway, a few of you may be happy to know that her shirt came clean thanks to Fels-Naptha. I love that stuff!
In case you were wondering... the reason that the pictures below have dates from this past September, but were on the blog last year when I created it, is because I finally took the time to fix my blog. Last year I mistakingly put them in the wrong place! I'm still just learning this blogging thing.

September 7, 2007 at the Red Barn Farm. You can see that he's contemplating something in this picture and sure enough, seconds later he bit this gourd and so we had to buy it!

What a cutie, eh?

Fresh and clean!

"Mine! Mine!" He screams in desperation as he seems me with the camera.

August 2007 at the Washington town and country fair.

Garrison at the mall.

"Doggies" is one of his favorite words to say. Here at Grandma Joyce's they have an outside dog, (Scruffy, not shown) and Bounty (shown) is Lori's (Marc's sister who lives next door) outside dog. Garrison loves to feed them treats...he would do it all day long if we didn't stop him.

Can't you see the pure delight in his face?! Grandpa Larry got baby chicks. We had to watch out for Garrison because he kept wanting to pick them up and sqeeze them just a little so they would squeal. Luckily he didn't do any damage...well, that we know of anyway.

Nathan Palmer is Garrison's cousin. Nathan is so sweet! When he first heard that we were getting a new baby he said, "Well that's not very nice," a few times before Lori (his mom) realized that he thought we were trading in Garrison for a new baby!

Our new Lorelei Anne Wilkerson-we love you!

Marcus' hands off approach to parenting...just kidding! He's very helpful, and since school isn't quite as stressful this year (his 3rd year of dental school), he seems to help more and more.

Our tired baby is always sleeping! Garrison calls her "Night night" because at the hospital we kept saying "baby's night night" when he would try to touch her.

Playing dress up with a real baby is more fun than with a doll...until there's a blowout. Any volunteers for the diaper? What about the dress?...Anyone?? Please????

Garrison is loving his new sister! In this picture she is a little afraid he's going to squash her I think! Look at those skinny baby legs!

Garrison, Miriam, and Steven Broadbent (my dad). Lorelei is still in my belly here, about a month before she finally decided she'd had enough.
